PNG
Best for logos, icons, and graphics with transparency. PNG files are lossless but can be large. Always compress PNGs before publishing.
JPEG
Ideal for photos and complex images without transparency. Use quality 80–85 for web — good balance of size and clarity.
WebP
Google's modern format. Smaller than JPEG and PNG with excellent quality. Supported by all major browsers. Convert with our tool's WebP output option.
Rule of thumb
- Photo → JPEG or WebP
- Logo / UI with transparency → PNG (compressed)
- Maximum savings → WebP
